About the
Flowers
All of the flowers grown here at Green Fox Flowers start out life as tiny seeds.
They are thoughtfully chosen ensuring every arrangement has an element of texture, movement, scent and colour.
By growing small quantities of a large number of varieties, customers are able to benefit from a unique range of characteristics that British blooms exude.
For example, some flowers quiver, contort and unravel in an awe-inspiring way. Others ooze a heavenly fragrance or proudly display their splendid petals in an array of Pantone colours.
Mesmerising grasses, rustic foliage and striking seed pods add a unique element to arrangements, whilst reminding us of our ever beautiful meadows, woodlands and hedgerows.
This is why I love growing British flowers.

About the
Farm
I started growing flowers in May 2020.
From just 3 small flower beds I harvested sweet williams, zinnias, cosmos and dahlias and sold them to friends, neighbours and family. These naive bunches triggered a genuine curiosity and love of homegrown flowers in me and in my customers encouraging me to exploring growing lots of other varieties.
Currently, there isn’t a patch of grass left in my garden, just row upon row of flower beds where I mainly grow annuals, a few perennials, bulbs, roses and peonies. Due to the increasing demand for homegrown British flowers, I have expanded my business into gift bouquets, weddings, funerals and markets stalls.
.
My plot is tiny, less than a quarter of an acre.
Every effort is made to enrich the soil in which the flowers are grown on, whilst also generating rich habitats for soil microbes, invertebrates and everything else that depends on them.
No chemicals or pesticides are used and no till farming is practiced as it minimises soil disturbances. Manure, mulches, and growing materials are sourced from local suppliers.
I also grow pollinator friendly varieties creating food for the bees and butterflies to enjoy.
Sustainability is incredibly important and filters down into every area of the business. Plastic pots are reused every year, bouquets are wrapped in brown paper, no floral foam is used and all crops are shredded and composted.
Nothing is wasted.
